GEORGIA TECH
Undergraduate Tenure
My first 4 years in Atlanta while at Georgia Tech, like most undergraduate experiences, were a monumental and instrumental period in my life. I graduated high honors with my B.S. in Biomedical Engineering (BME). I studied abroad in France and worked abroad in Germany. I worked for a year on a research and development project for creating an implantable, insulin-secreting device to act as an artificial pancreas for a cure to diabetes. My senior design project worked with endocrinologists at Emory University to develop a software program to facilitate easier patient-physician interaction and thus provide better treatment to effectively control diabetes.
Georgia Tech BMEs take pride in having a multi-disciplinary track and students are well trained in a wide spectrum of areas. Our program is ranked 2nd in the nation and our College of Engineering is prestigiously well-known for producing high caliber graduates.
Extra-curricularly at Georgia Tech, I was very involved on campus with numerous student organizations, steering committees, and campus wide projects. The following highlight those in which I took leadership.

Active as a freshman, I was chosen as Sophomore Representative the following year. My last two years, I handled the club's finance as Treasurer/VP of Finance and was a vital role as part of our 14-member board in assisting with our growth and restructure. Our Pre-Health Conference was one of the largest student-led event of its kind.

I founded and led the Bridge Club my freshman year. Continuing the leadership the next two years, I grew membership and built a pipeline for sustainability. The opportunity refined my marketing skills and taught me how to motivate members to be able to lead the organization.

Starting as a sophomore, I helped to build the largest student organization on campus. My leadership grew as a committee chair to VP and to President. The 2000+ student organization had a 12 member leadership team that planned, strategized, and executed programs to connect students to alumni, instill pride in their school, and educate life and professional skills.

As a freshman, I was the Liturgy Liaison and started a committee for Altar Serving. Working on the leadership team as a VP, I helped in restructuring and reestablishing the Catholic Center as a well-formed student organization serving a broader reach on campus.
